Get the App

Add Meridian to your phone or computer as its own app.

Meridian can be installed as an app on your phone or computer, so it opens in its own window with its own icon — no browser tabs or address bar. Once this page is live on the web, here's how:

iPhone / iPad (Safari)

  1. Open this page in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (square with an arrow) in the toolbar.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add — Meridian now appears as an icon on your Home Screen.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open this page in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Install app (or Add to Home screen).
  4. Confirm — Meridian is added to your Home screen and app drawer.

Mac / Windows (Chrome)

  1. Open this page in Chrome.
  2. Click the install icon in the address bar (a monitor with a down arrow) — or open the menu and choose Install Meridian….
  3. Click Install — Meridian opens in its own app window and appears in your Dock, Start Menu, or Launchpad.

Mac (Safari)

  1. Open this page in Safari.
  2. Choose File → Add to Dock (or the Share button → Add to Dock).
  3. Meridian is added to your Dock as its own app.

Once installed, Meridian still works exactly the same way — everything still runs locally in your browser, so your settings stay on that device.

More

About Meridian and the policy behind it.

Meridian is a personal time toolkit that lives entirely in your browser. It brings together a local clock, a world clock, alarms, a stopwatch, and a timer — all in one page, styled after a brass-and-navy instrument panel.

There's no sign-up, no server, and no app store. Meridian is just a single file: open it in a browser and it works. Your accent color, background, sounds, and alarms are remembered on this device using your browser's own storage — nothing is ever sent anywhere.

Add the cities you care about to World Clock, set alarms with custom repeat days, time yourself with the Stopwatch, or use the Timer's Exam Timer feature to schedule a countdown that starts itself. Make it yours with custom colors, a background photo, and even your own sound files.

Meridian was built to be fast, quiet, and entirely yours.

Overview

Meridian is a self-contained, offline-first web page distributed as a single file. It does not connect to any server, collect any data, or require an account. This page explains, in plain terms, what to expect when using it.

Data & Privacy

Meridian does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information — there is no server for it to go to. Everything you set here (accent color, background, alarms, custom sounds, and other preferences) is stored locally in your browser, on your own device, and never leaves it.

Local Storage

Meridian uses your browser's local storage to remember your preferences between visits. Clearing your browser's site data, using a private/incognito window, or opening the file in a different browser will reset these preferences, since nothing is stored anywhere else.

Photos & Custom Sounds You Upload

Any background photo or custom sound you upload is processed and stored entirely on your own device. These files are never uploaded to a server. You're responsible for only using images and audio you have the right to use.

No Accounts, No Tracking

Meridian doesn't use tracking cookies, doesn't include analytics, and doesn't show ads. There's no account system, because there's nothing to log into.

Alarms & Timers — Please Read

Meridian's alarms, timers, and Exam Timer feature rely on this browser tab staying open. If you close the tab, your device sleeps, or the browser quits, scheduled alarms and timers won't go off. Treat Meridian as a convenience tool, not a safety-critical one, for anything important.

No Warranty

Meridian is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. While care has gone into making it reliable, it isn't guaranteed to be error-free or available at all times, especially given differences between browsers and devices. Use it at your own discretion.

Changes to This Policy

Because Meridian is a standalone file rather than a hosted website, updates to this policy only apply to newer versions of the file you download. This copy reflects the app as it exists in the version you currently have open.

Contact

Meridian is an independently built personal tool without a company or support team behind it. There's no support channel — but that also means there's no one collecting your data, either.
